The status of the order that a customer has placed. Where is it, how much is completed, how much remaining. This is important as there maybe more than one factory and/or sub-contractors involved in fulfilling an order.
Why Order Status matters?
Not knowing order status is a customer satisfaction issue.Â
Time spent chasing after an order’s status is spent away from selling. Even if there is an admin team chasing after the order status, the customer may not place additional orders if they don’t get visibility into orders previously placed. The customers have made promises based on our promised dates and they look bad if they do not have visibility into an order’s status (if it is going to be on time, early, delayed or being delivered at all).Â
